Serve Our Church
Your involvement at Indianapolis Baptist Temple matters because your service really makes a difference. The opportunities listed below describe many of the service opportunities where we need your help. Please look around and then contact the leader for the ministry for which you would like to volunteer.
Welcome and Hospitality
Imagine joining a team that has fun creating a welcoming environment for our visitors. By joining the Welcome & Hospitality team you can help to create an environment where each person feels welcome and comfortable.
Kids and Teens
Our IBT kids and IBT Teens programs exist to introduce children to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to help them live out the gospel in their lives. You can help us do so by teaching them a Bible-centered curriculum and facilitating the creation of Christ-centered relationships.
Adult Ministries
Discipleship is an important part of our Christian walk. Our Brothers and Sisters need to be discipled by other Christians in order to discover more of who Jesus is and how to live out the gospel. You can be a part of this ministry by discipling other believers.
Outreach
Between the community events, missions, and our van ministry IBT works tirelessly to spread the Gospel outside our four walls. Do you have a heart to reach the community and beyond? Our outreach opportunities are the perfect fit for you.
Maintenance
We need handy people like you to help take care of our building! From vacuuming the floors to shoveling the parking lot, this all is important in keeping our church up and running.
Media
Do you have a passion for writing? A keen eye for photography? Do you play an instrument or sing? Or maybe even have a knack for audio visual? Join a team that embraces the creative side of spreading Gods Word.

Serve Indianapolis

We want to be known for our generosity—with both our time and money—toward those in our local community. Through our partnerships with great local organizations and non-profits, we provide opportunities to meet the real needs of our community as we serve together.
Young Champions
Young Champions classes are held weekly during regular school hours. Students attend group classes in their respective schools. Classes are divided by age and sex to provide a comfortable environment for learning. The Young Champions program specializes in working with at risk students.

Child Evangelism Fellowship
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Life Centers
Life Centers provide resources to families facing pregnancy decisions. They are presented with God’s truths to change the lives of their families and to save the lives of unborn children. IBT supports Life Centers by holding fundraisers and taking up offerings for their organization multiple times a year.

GriefShare
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

DivorceCare
DivorceCare allows your church to become a source of care and support for people who have experienced separation or divorce. This 13-week, video-based support group provides practical tools for coping and points people to Christ for healing and hope.

Midwest Food Bank
Midwest Food Bank currently distributes nearly $34 million worth of food to over 2,200 non-profits each month. We stand ready for disaster relief efforts and can get food-filled relief boxes to those in need, within 24 hours. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the valuable work of our volunteers, and most importantly, the blessings of God, Midwest Food Bank now shares the blessings worldwide. In 2022, we distributed over $415 million worth of food.

Servants Heart
Servant’s Heart was established to help families in Beech Grove and the surrounding area by providing year-round support for those struggling to make ends meet.
